May 3rd 2004: Issue 09

So we finally got everything set for this Thursday's fundraiser for KACF. The details are below. Since I really don't have the chance to go watch live bands perform myself, and don't really know anyone who goes often, this event should be something different from your regular happy hour where you see the same faces. And its for a great cause —all proceeds will go to KACF. We'll probably start the performance around 8:00 or 8:30, but come earlier and take advantage of the open bar from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Click on the image below to see a flash invite I created for the event and get a sample of some of her music. Hope to see you there!

One other event coming up soon that I didn't mention in my last mailer is the upcoming Asian Diversity Career Expo at Madison Square Garden on May 13th. I will send more info in the next mailer, but to get more info, go to www.asiandiversity.com.

The Korean-American Community Foundation is a non-profit organization of the the New York metropolitan area which strives to enrich the lives of their neighbors by giving. This is achieved by raising funding for and supporting community and social service organizations and programs, particularly those which impact marginalized segments of the Korean-American community, such as youth from economically disadvantaged families, senior citizens, the physically and mentally challenged, low-income and recent immigrants. The Foundation will also provide a platform for community building among Korean Americans of all generations who can in turn work to promote dialogue with and build coalitions with other communities in the Greater New York Metropolitan Area.
